  • The Skylarks have the songs.

    You have the memories.

The Skylarks are Kerri, Julie, Soozeee and Vicki, four gals who love singing Girl Group and Doo Wop hits from the early days of rock 'n' roll. We took our name from Julie's first car, a '67 Buick Skylark. Let The Skylarks bring the fun and the memories to your parties and events.

    Kerri De Rosier

The proud daughter of a choir director and music educator, Kerri was conscripted into the Alto section because she “could read music” (mother’s words). Kerri sang in school and church choirs throughout her childhood, and joined the UCLA A Cappella Choir when she entered college (as an Alto). Post-college in Los Angeles, Kerri sang with the Jane Hardisty Singers and the Cambridge Singers. Returning to her home town of San Diego, Kerri sang with the Masterworks Chorale and the La Jolla Symphony Chorus. Kerri co-founded Key of She, an all-woman choral ensemble, and is now happily singing soprano in The Skylarks.

    Julie Chan

Julie's singing career began in the fourth grade as a member of the YMCA Rotary Glee Club. Many years and many choirs later, she fulfilled a life-long dream when she was cast as a chorus member and (at 42 years old), was the youngest “cigarette girl” in the Sacramento Opera production of Carmen. A subsequent move to San Diego to play beach volleyball led her to the Key of She women’s ensemble and the three amazing singers who would become the Skylarks. Now that she has retired from a career in environmental science, Julie is following her passion for music, writing the Skylarks’ vocal arrangements, and of course, performing.

    Soozeee Elden

In her youth, Soozeee studied classical piano, played the violin, flute, and sang in choral groups in high school. After college, she continued as a chorister and also accompanied several groups on the piano. When her children were young, she accompanied their singing groups at the San Diego Jewish Academy. In 2004, Soozeee decided to revisit her voice which led to her joining the La Jolla Symphony and Chorus (currently a member), the Key of She (a women’s vocal ensemble), the Masterworks Chorale, Pacific Coast Chorale, Beth Israel Choir, and The Skylarks. In her recent retirement as an Educational Therapist, she has followed her musical passion with these extremely talented and harmonious sisters in song, The Skylarks!

    Vicki Moore

Vicki began singing at age 3 and has never stopped. She entered a vocal competition in high school and won a music scholarship to Cal Western University in Point Loma where she sang in their competitive choir and in the Chamber Singers. She was also a member of Key of She, a women’s ensemble, and later joined The Skylarks, where she enjoys singing Doo Wop songs from the 50s & 60s.
